In 2017, while living in Connecticut, Mark put together his first home DIY recording studio and began home recording. In 2022 Mark began playing solo acoustic gigs. Playing favorite songs from the 60’s to present, classic rock, 90’s alternative/grunge rock and country songs. Music covered includes Bob Segar, Van Morisson, STP, Pearl Jam, Train, Counting Crowes, Chris Stapleton and many many more! After a few years of recording songs with friends, Mark began writing, recording and producing his first original album, You Do You as the Dorian Perry Band, released in summer 2020. Soon afterwards, he released music videos on YouTube for You Do You and She that were directed, filmed and edited by Mark. He spent the rest of 2020 writing, recording and producing a second album Hidden, released in January 2021 along with two more music videos on YouTube, Jamie and Hidden. In December 2021 the third album Found It was released along with a video for the song Words. 2024 released the single Assume with more singles to come in 2025 plus an upcoming instrumental album under the name CARROT CAKE in the works NOW!
